Each week, good attendance is celebrated in our weekly celebration assembly and the class with the best attendance is crowned by our Attendance Manager, Mrs Ahmed. The class get to keep the crown for the week until the next assembly as this is deemed a very prestigious award.
The class with the best punctuality is awarded each week with a choice that the class collectively decides on. This half-term so far, the winning classes have chosen cakes, extra playtime and arts and crafts activity time.
Key Stage Two pupils have recently taken part in an attendance poster competition, creating designs to highlight the importance of good attendance and the impact that poor attendance can have on lost learning time. Winners received a chocolate hamper, and their posters are now displayed around the school alongside our attendance boards.
At the end of each term our Attendance Manager, Mrs Ahmed, presents pupils with attendance certificates in assembly along with excellent attendance badges. Prizes and stickers are also given out for children with improved attendance.
