Solo Parent Support and Friendship Group

The group is about bringing solo parents together across the Northwest and brings a community of solo parents together online and through meet ups in the community. We aim to provide a network of support, guidance and friendship for parents who are navigating the difficult and often lonely pathway of bringing up their child(ren) alone. It is a private facebook group run by myself, ten mums and three fathers. We also have access to some free legal advice which one of our admin provides. We hold face to face meetings and events in parks, coffee shops, family friendly days out, holidays, camping and also parent nights out for those who get the odd break from their children. In addition we have an SEN and health conditions team of parents who support parents with health conditions or their children. You can find us on Facebook by typing Solo Parents United Northwest.  A new special update is I have now created a Solo Parents United Football Club. We are training and playing matches. The only expense to parents is £30 for the whole year to register your child. If you want to find out more please email Stephen Walker on stashwak@gmail.com.
