Ash Class

Christmas Themed Maths Day

For Christmas Maths Day, Ash class have been making repeating pattern paper chains, counting winter objects hidden around the room as part of a scavenger hunt, estimating how many baubles were in the bowl, matching the numeral baubles to the words and cutting and labelling snowmen from different 2D shapes!

Contender for the longest repeating pattern paper chain?

Subtraction

This week Ash class have been getting very busy in maths. We looked at subtraction and the children even wrote their own maths problems!

Problem Solving

This week Ash class have been working on their problem-solving skills in their maths lessons. We read through each scenario together and the children used objects to act them out before writing the number sentence.

Ordering Numbers

Ash class have been busy with ordering numbers this week. They were asked to independently order numbers 1-10 and then set a challenge to order numbers 1-20. They did amazingly well!
