Hello, my name is Miss Bloy and I am the teacher of Buttercup Class. I am supported by our Teaching Assistants, Miss Aspinall and Miss Davies and together we support the children in Buttercup class to learn, play and grow within a nurturing and supportive environment.
In Buttercup we recognise that every child is unique and celebrate the different strengths, personalities and interests that make our class so special. Learning is practical, engaging and adapted to meet the needs of each individual child through play, exploration and hands-on experiences.
Our classroom is designed to provide a calm, safe and welcoming environment where children feel happy, supported and ready to learn. We use a range of communication approaches and sensory supports to help children develop confidence, independence and positive relationships in a way that works best for them.
Throughout the school day, children enjoy a variety of structured routines, sensory experiences and opportunities for play-based learning both indoors and outdoors. We place a strong focus on supporting communication, emotional regulation, independence and social development through meaningful everyday experiences.
Each half term we explore exciting topics including All About Me, Celebration and Light, Let’s Get Growing, On the Move, Animals and Their Homes and Under the Sea. Our topics are woven throughout the children’s learning to help create meaningful, engaging and memorable experiences.
At The Meadows we believe every child is special. We aim to create a warm, supportive environment where children feel safe, valued and encouraged to grow in confidence and achieve their full potential.
We look forward to all the learning, fun and experiences we will share together throughout the year and will share their journey with you through Dojo.
