Hello, my name is Mrs Hannan and I teach Holly Class. We are a year three class. Working alongside me in Holly Class is Mrs Cullen.  Miss Smithson also works in the class for part of the week.

In year three we have lots of exciting topics, including learning about the history of Burnley FC and a famous break in, making fruit crumble, performing at Burnley Mechanics, designing castles in Design and Technology, and exploring Rocks in Science. We have some really exciting texts in our English lessons, such as The Magic Faraway Tree and The Iron Man.

During year three you will be able to go on some visits, including a trip to Burnley Mechanics to perform on the stage for an audience. We also have a Stone Age day, learn first aid and lots more!

It is really important that you read your reading book regularly and focus on making sure that you have learned all your times tables. You will be expected to do this as part of your homework, and you will also have a half termly homework task to complete.

PE days will change throughout the year, so please make sure that your PE kit is in school and that all kit and uniform is clearly labelled.
