Hello, my name is Mrs Cunningham and I teach Maple Class. We are a year four class. Working alongside me in Maple Class is Miss Sturgeon.  Mrs Hogan also works in the class for part of the week.

In year four we have lots of exciting topics, including learning about the Ancient Egyptians and the Ancient Greeks in History, making biscuits and designing torches in Design and Technology, and exploring sound and electricity in Science. We have some really exciting texts in our English lessons, such as The Secret Garden and The Pied Piper of Hamelin.

During year four you will be able to go on some visits, including a Science trip to Blackpool Zoo. We also have a Greek day and will be learning some songs for a public performance at Christmas.

It is really important that you read your reading book regularly and focus on making sure that you have learned all your times tables. You will be expected to do this as part of your homework, and you will also have a half termly homework task to complete.

PE days will change throughout the year, so please make sure that your PE kit is in school and that all kit and uniform is clearly labelled.
