Children were informed of 5 new iPads being delivered to classes to support with the new intervention maths app the school have purchased. All the children were happy about this and shared that they sometimes struggle to get on devices at home to complete homework such as TTRS, they asked if they would be able to use these if they were not able to complete homework, children were happy when they were informed they could.

What one thing would you change about maths?

Ethan- to make it more fun. Some people don’t like it so maybe we could do it outside.

Jason- sometimes in lessons we have to wait for the instruction when we want to just get on

Harper- do maths in a different place

    Janice- make maths quicker

What do you love about maths?

Seb- because there are lots of things to do

Elliott- when you get new numbers you don’t know you can try hard

Denas- that fact that you have to work things out and use resilience. I like that it is hard

Tesanda- the fact that there’s more than one method to answer a question

    Harper- because it’s so fun

    Meeting 23-04-2026

Today the children helped Mrs Cooper with her maths monitoring. We looked at how the classes are using their floor books to showcase their wider curriculum maths days, such as the NSPCC Number, and the problem solving sessions the children have been doing at the end of each half term. We have enjoyed looking at the different activities done in classes and how much our children appear to enjoy them.
