Brunshaw is proud to have retained our Step Outside EYFS Quality Award. First awarded to the school in 2023 and still meeting all the criteria every year.

This award confirms our commitment to reflecting on the provision and practice of teaching our EYFS students in an outdoor setting. This includes the following actions:

• Devise and implement an action plan to enhance the quality of teaching and learning in the outdoors
• Raise outcomes for all children with particular reference to outdoor provision
• Ensure children consistently demonstrate the characteristics of learning in the outdoors
