Welcome to Brunshaw

Dear Parents and Carers of Reception children 2026,

On behalf of the staff at Brunshaw Primary School, we are very pleased to welcome your child to start in September 2026.  We are delighted that your child will be starting full-time school here at Brunshaw and will be joining one of our Reception classes. This is an important time for your child, and we know that it is often an anxious time for parents.

Here you will find everything you need to know about getting ready to start school for the first time. You will find below a list of useful documents and links to videos for you to watch and read at your leisure. 

We are looking forward to a productive partnership with you to ensure your child can achieve their highest potential. We recognise that in order to be successful in school, our children need support from both the home and school. We know a strong partnership with you will make a great difference in your child’s education.

This year we will be holding regular events where you and your child can attend.  Transition and change can be a challenge for young children.  

We are really excited to meet you all very soon and we look forward to you all joining the Brunshaw Primary School family!
