Today the school council team met to discuss how we can fundraise for Mr Matthew's charity sky dive. Mr Matthew's is fundraising for MS (Multiple Sclerosis) as it is a charity that means a lot to him, since his mum is living with the condition. We discussed the different ways we could raise money.
We eventually decided that we will have a non-uniform day in the hope that this will raise the most money.

We are going to create a poster together to share on the whole-school Dojo page and the Year 5 and 6 children are going to write up a short post to add to the school newsletter.
In Spring term, our KS2 School Council and Pupil Leadership Team helped the local community by planting trees at Rowley. They managed to plant an incredible 175 trees of different varieties! They worked really hard and were not afraid to get stuck in!

This week, the School Council met with Mr. Clough and Miss Dobie to discuss fundraising ideas for a new school minibus. The pupils shared lots of creative suggestions, including organising a sponsored run and hosting a summer fayre to help raise money.
We also talked about how we can make class attendance incentives more inclusive. Instead of sweet treats, the council suggested rewards that everyone can enjoy—such as fun class-based incentives like “Bring a Teddy to School” days.
We’re excited to keep developing these ideas and work together to support our school community.
