This year we are going to be working hard together to better our school and community. Our first meeting will be all about making sure that everyone in our school community has access to food, as we all know how important food is in our lives for keeping us healthy and strong.

Our school is in desperate need of a new library, therefore, the school council organised a whole school Christmas Fair to raise money. Leading up to the fair we had two non-uniform days where children brought donations in. Our fair was very successful and we raised lots of money to go towards buying new books and furniture for our library. On behalf of the School Council and everyone else at Brunshaw we want to say a huge thank you as without everyone's donations our fair wouldn't have been possible.

Attendance is always something we are eager to improve at Brunshaw Primary School. Mrs Smith asked the school council to create an attendance policy that children can understand. The attendance policy that we have created will inform children at our school about the importance of attending school every day. Check the website for our child-friendly attendance policy!

The school council met with Danny Hoyle a road safety officer from Lancashire county council to discuss how we can keep safe on the roads around school. The school council hosted a road safety poster competition. The winning posters were printed on a banner and hung on our school gates.
30.04.24
The School Council was asked to create mascots to promote our school values!
Please keep a look out in the new academic year as you will see our school value mascots appear.
