The Great Brunshaw Bake Off!

This week we have been designing and creating our own biscuits. Previously, we looked at recipes and made a basic biscuit together. We then decided in groups how we could adapt the recipe to include an additional ingredient.

In groups the children decided on marshmallows, chocolate chips and cranberries.

We then went up to the foundation centre (in groups) to bake our biscuits and waited patiently for them to bake.

Finally, we ended our day in the best way... with a taste test! The children thoroughly enjoyed eating their creations and Miss Stockton was more than happy to be the taste tester for all of them.

We baked plain cookies in DT. Pupils decided their target market would be children so now they are thinking of ways to change the biscuit to make it more appealing to children.
