SEND
All children have the right to an education that will enable them to reach their full potential. At Brunshaw we believe that each child has individual and unique needs and acknowledge that some children require more support than others.
A child has special educational needs if s/he requires additional or different provision made generally for children of their age in that school. In order to support these children, we recognise their needs and plan accordingly. The head, governors and staff of our school are committed to the inclusion of children with SEND.
We ensure that the teaching matches the child’s needs and that every child has access to a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum at the appropriate level in terms of the National Curriculum. We also ensure that there is a supportive environment with an atmosphere of encouragement and sensitivity with respect for achievement and value for the individual.
At Brunshaw Primary School we strive to develop positive relationships with our parents/carers in order to provide the best support we can for all children.
