Christmas Themed Maths Day

In Spruce class, we had fun browsing the Smyth's Toy Superstore catalogue and practising our column addition and subtraction skills! First, we added up the total of gifts for ourselves and 3 of our friends. Then, we were given a budget of £300 and used a combination of addition and subtraction to check how much we had left to spend. Some of us only had a few pence left! Then, we created Christmas pictures using a variety of 2D shapes. We listed the types of shapes used and the total sides and vertices.
