Holly Class
Christmas Themed Maths Day
In Holly class we have been busy this week preparing for Christmas. We had some letters from Santa asking for our help. He needed an idea in Science to stop his boots getting dirty so we decided that he needed a path. We tested some rocks to find out their properties. We were looking for rocks that would make a waterproof and durable path. We wrote back and reported our findings.
We also had a great time this week making looking at sustainable and recyclable products. We made decorations for our trees out of metal and plastic beads. When we have finished them we could turn them into bracelets or necklaces and the metal would be useful for something else. Who knows what the decorations used to be in a previous life?
On Maths day, Santa contacted us again to ask for help. We have to find the imposter Santa and work out how many golden coins the elves had earned.
