Prehistory
Holly Class recently had a visit from Dr John. He is an archaeologist who came in to work with us on our History topic around Prehistory. He brought us lots of artefacts to look at and gave us lots of information about the past.
Local History
We were visited by historian David Tilsley, who brought in a range of artefacts for us to look at to start our History topic. We looked at a Latin letter on parchment which was hundreds of years old, held quills used for writing and compared maps of our local area from different time periods. We learnt lots of interesting facts, including that Brunshaw Primary School is built on the site of an old farm! We are looking forward to discovering more things about the history of our local area.
